If you’re walking or biking along Manhattan’s riverside path between the Hudson River and the West Side Highway, stop near Little West 12th Street. This structure and the concrete pier behind it are all that’s left of the Cunard/White Star Line’s pier 54—the faded lettering beneath the cast-iron arch is just barely visible. The Titanic was due to dock at White Star’s 18th Street pier; survivors landed here instead.
